Five New Gamechangers for the Green Chemistry Accelerator 2023: They Are Making the Chemical Industry…Green!
04-10-2023
The Green Chemistry Accelerator is an acceleration program of Green Chemistry, New Economy (GCNE) that provides tailored support to startups in the green chemistry sector to expedite the financing of pilots and demo plants.
Dops, Senbis, Nature’s Principles, Resolved, and Recell have been selected as promising game changers for the greening of chemistry for the second edition of the program, after an extensive selection process by 10 experts.
The participants began developing their 200-day plan for the main barriers in their scaling process at the beginning of October. In the coming months, the companies will be individually guided by a team of experts. Additionally, they will learn from each other in group sessions.
At the annual event of GCNE on November 7, the game changers also presented themselves.
The companies have the ambition to green the chemical industry. During the first masterclass of the accelerator, the entrepreneurs collectively determined how to achieve this. The guiding principles include:
- Fossil virgin raw materials will be replaced by clean and more efficient technologies;
- Radical innovation will challenge the existing industry to work in partnership on scaling;
- End products will gain more value by using renewable carbon sources.
In short, we are working on new value chains that make a green chemical industry possible!
Chairman of the GCNE platform, Arnold Stokking: “It was a pleasure and an inspiration to engage in dialogue with the five participating companies. The new green chemistry and economy, focused on non-fossil value circles, will be shaped by companies of this kind. From GCNE, we are committed to maximizing the conditions for the success of these game changers. Many thanks to the venture partners from the regional development agencies and Invest-NL present. Together, we can make this happen!”
GCNE congratulates these leaders on securing a place in this unique program. More information about the program can be found via this link or contact Angelique Erkenbosch at angelique.erkenbosch@innovationquarter.nl.
