Second Chamber Decision-Making Has No Impact on BioBased Circular Funding

20-03-2024

You may have heard through the media that the House of Representatives has chosen to indefinitely postpone the fourth round of National Growth Fund allocations. This decision does not affect the funding of the BioBased Circular program, which has been applied for by the Foundation Platform Green Chemistry, New Economy.

BioBased Circulair has received approval in the third round, and the applications in this round will not be affected by the vote on March 19 in the House of Representatives. On March 19, the first call for ten million euros opened.

We certainly hope that a new government recognizes the importance of green innovations and will promptly move to reopen the National Growth Fund. We are convinced that the National Growth Fund offers fantastic opportunities to provide a substantial economic boost to the Netherlands in a sustainable manner. Delays mean that we will miss important opportunities in the long term.
